Wed, Wielded Warriors

The Warrior path is about discovering your limitations so you can push past them and realize they were never limitations at all. So often, we stop ourselves before we reach the finish line. We change direction before we get to the best part of the path. Our minds are full of distractions, doubt, and reasons why we can’t.

Warriors of Light gave me a different experience.

I got to discover what happens when you don’t quit.

When the body is tired and the mind says, I don’t want to do this anymore, you learn that discomfort is just a sensation. You discover that your WILL can carry you further than you thought possible.

For me, that was huge. I went in wanting to gain strength – to silence that inner voice that asks, Can I really do this? Am I enough? What I found was something deeper: the power of CHOICE.

The choice not to make excuses. The choice not to wait for motivation to act. The choice to devote my life to a mission greater than myself.

When we overcome the resistance within ourselves, we can hold more Light in the world – and shine that Light so others can remember their own.

And doing this together as a team? That makes it all even more worthwhile.

Every morning, after long days of training, everyone showed up again with huge smiles and open hearts. We sweat. We laughed. We learned. We inspired each other. We faced our illusions head-on. And we grew.

We weren’t becoming a family. We already are one.

I experienced that sense of family in the most profound way when I married my partner, Philipp, during Warriors of Light. Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon and Ipsissima Franca created a holy ceremony for us, with the international team helping make it all possible. Another couple we deeply admire, Diana and Radu, joined us in a shared ceremony, and our fellow Initiates offered their presence and blessings for our union. It was an extraordinary expression of the community we are part of and a moment I will treasure forever.

And then we danced all night.

After the intense days of training, everyone was exhausted -and somehow nobody wanted the night to end. There really is no party like a Mystery School party! So much laughter, lightness, and joy.

For six days, I watched hundreds of people live this way – as one human family, united by a shared intention to grow, serve, and bring more Light into the world. It made something feel very real to me: this kind of unity isn’t just an idea. I’ve witnessed it. I’ve experienced it.

If hundreds of people can live it together, imagine what happens when each of us carries that experience back into our families, our communities, our workplaces, and the world.

I left Warriors of Light feeling stronger, but also incredibly grounded. Present. Peaceful. Grateful.

Grateful for the challenge. Grateful for the community. Grateful to learn from Masters who have devoted decades to their own evolution and who care so deeply about those walking this path with them.

And grateful for the fire that was lit in me.

I left knowing that I have so much more to give – and that I want to give it.

We trained hard. Push-ups, squats, sit-ups, stretching, chi exercises, self-defense, work with weapons and with our own body weight. Early mornings, late nights. I also took part in voluntary extra training, which pushed me right to my limits.

And it was exactly there, at the limit, that the real teaching arrived.

I discovered on a deep, visceral level, that it is my mind that tries to dictate me what is possible and what is not. Once I saw that, I could discern my mind from my will, and as I began to execute from my will, I could suddenly do more. There was joy in it too, because it was my spirit coming through and moving me forward. The blocks were illusions all along.

This is what I carry with me now even as I am home: When I meet an obstacle, whether in a goal, in a project, or in something I am working to manifest, I check: is this real, or is this my mind again? Then I tap into my will, and I execute.

As a Warrior of Light I have to overcome my own negative ego first: and the negative ego shows itself in many forms. Sometimes as arrogance. Sometimes as the opposite: shrinking out of fear, making yourself smaller than you are. It is like the nine heads of the Hydra that Hercules faced: cut one off, and another grows in its place.

The work is not to let any of it stand in the way of service and of the Great Work, and that means overcoming it first within. The more of my own darkness I overcome within, the more goodness is available for me to operate from. I make space within, and the goodness of who I am can flow through me. Only then can I go out and truly help others overcome the same thing within themselves. That is the ripple effect: it begins inside one person and reaches the whole world.

It was huge to do this alongside more than 180 people. To look around and see my spiritual family, working globally on the same mission, and to know that I am not alone is so powerful.

The teachings from Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon were extraordinary, and the teachings on eternity and time were revealing and mind-blowing, they shifted us into a new world.

I have always loved physical exercise and athleticism. For years I looked for it in kung fu, hoping to train with masters who also knew about energy and spiritual philosophy, but I couldn’t find it. Then I looked in the other direction, into healing and meditation, and found people who knew energy deeply but not the martial arts side, not what it means to be strong in the world while remaining spiritual.

Warriors of Light brought those pieces back together: martial arts unified with the spiritual component, the way it was always meant to be. I am so glad the Modern Mystery School keeps it alive, keeps it sacred, and keeps it available for those who choose it.

This is an amazing program, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

At Warriors of Light, attendees receive high level lectures by Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon, first class martial arts training and lessons on discipline and the way of the Warrior.

I went into this Warriors of Light programme totally green, having never attended before and, frankly, not knowing what to expect from the six days of intensive training. I left changed in ways I still can’t quite pin down, including with a deeper understanding of the concept of who I am as a Divine being.

At the beginning of the Warrior’s of Light Program, I found the martial arts harder than later on in the program. Initially, I noticed that my strokes felt a bit uncertain. Of course, there is an element here of being a beginner and learning a new skill. However, I think there was a spiritual element at play as well. Have you ever heard the saying, how you do one thing is how you do everything? At the beginning of the program, my strokes revealed to me an uncertainty. Who am I? And what is my purpose? If you don’t know the answer to this, even the motion of raising your arm during martial arts can betray this question. During the second half of the program, I noticed more assurance in my gestures and my ability to defend myself against strikes. Who am I? Was still a question I found myself asking, but there was also more certainty there. I am God. I am a being of service.

As I mentioned, going into Warriors of Light, I was green. I didn’t know exactly what to expect but I had been promised that my boundaries would be pushed, I would be tested, physically and mentally, and that this would help me grow. If you plan to go to Warriors of Light in the near future, I recommend you surrender completely to the process. Do what you’re instructed to do. You will find that by the end of the programme, you are more a master of yourself and your mind than you were going into it. If you’re told to do ten pushups, do ten pushups. If you’re told to learn self-defense, apply yourself completely to the task. Receive the gift of growth, expansion and self-mastery. At the beginning I said, all humans want to progress and grow (another great lesson I learned at Warriors of Light) – Warriors of Light is a tremendous opportunity to do so.
