Our new home in London for the MMS UK & EU has been birthed, and we feel as if we can grow, thrive, expand and live a life of light. We also can now invite others to experience this for themselves!
The creation of this space has been underway for over 2 months now, as Ipsissima Kate and team have been working seamlessly to craft this beautiful space. We are so excited to welcome you all into this space before our October MMS International Programs launch next week.

A Space called Home!
Stronger Together: Our New Community Centre
We are all strong individually, but we are stronger together.
Without community, who is there to hold you up, support you when you’re down, and step in when you need a hand?
We can do a lot on our own. But none of us can do it all.
For many of us, community was shaken during the pandemic. Lockdowns confined us to the comfort (and isolation) of our homes, with little to no connection outside our small circles. Even when the world began to open up again, it took years to feel fully reaccustomed to being around people in person.
Within the Modern Mystery School community, many of our smaller gatherings were cancelled or moved online during those years. Yet today in 2025, and on the brink of 2026 (!), the need for real, in-person connection has never been greater. The world is changing fast, and community is more important than ever.
My family sometimes comments on the extraordinary acts of service I’ve received from my fellow Initiates when I’ve needed help. They say, “Wow, you have really good friends. That’s rare. Keep them.” And my only response can be, “You’re right. I do.” We have a shared mission, and for each person to accomplish their special piece of the mission, someone is always happy to help.
And yet, until recently, something was still missing… the final puzzle piece. The piece that takes a picture from “Oh, I can see the vision” to “Wow, that is a masterpiece”.
That missing piece is a gathering place: a true spiritual centre. A home for our community. A place to share snacks, sit over a cup of tea, ask deep questions. For us to laugh, reflect, clean, heal, and grow. Together.
For me, our new Modern Mystery School UK & EU centre In London is that missing piece. It has strengthened an already-strong community and brought something more. It brought the magick. In opening our new centre, the house became a home. Cinderella’s pumpkin became a carriage.
So let me tell you about it.
It’s a classic British-style home: skinny, but tall. There is a spiral staircase! How magickal. To get there, you pass under a little bridge that feels like a portal to another world. It’s tucked in a quiet corner…hidden, almost invisible unless you know it’s there. A purple door with a lion on it guards the entrance, keeping everything inside safe.
And inside?
It is still.
It is welcoming.
It is your place to come home.
Our spiritual centre is a hive of activity, alive with Guides, Healers, and Ritual Masters offering healings and service to all who seek it. It is a space of transformation and belonging. A place where community isn’t just an idea — it’s lived, every day.
This is the missing piece we’ve been waiting for.

Finding Home
When someone asks me “Where are you from?”—in terms of nationality, not necessarily in the Kabbalistic sense—I tend to wobble.
I was born in South Africa to South African Christian parents who thought their ancestors were British and French, then adopted and raised by British Ashkenazi Jewish and Church of English parents from the Midlands. Although I’ve lived in England on and off for 7 years I grew up living a very South African-European life. After taking a DNA test, I discovered that I am around 30% Eastern European, with another 30% spread across various Slavic and European countries. This revelation led me on a deep journey of self-discovery: Where is my actual home? Where am I actually from?
I’ve always been a homebody, even though I spent many years traveling and was very much a social extrovert. Still, there has always been something shamanic within me—perhaps because I’m African. In Africa, we tend to connect deeply to our “motherland.” We often speak of Africa as our mother, our home, and relate to her in a way that is visceral and spiritual.
When I decided to leave Africa to study under my guide Julia and take the Empower Thyself initiation, I never truly felt at home in the UK. I always felt like I was visiting. I loved the magick, the beauty, and London’s charisma, which inspired me and lit me up with the feeling that I could do anything. But as soon as October came around, nothing felt like home anymore. The cold was foreign to me, and I wasn’t used to the kind of winter the UK presented.
So, I would “run home” to South Africa, or escape to warm countries like Dubai or Brazil. Yet the constant uprooting and nomadic lifestyle became exhausting. It felt like I was always moving my temple around, and within me there was a lack of grounding and a very confused sense of home.
Over the years, I began to understand the importance of having six walls—North, East, South, West, Up, and Down—to manifest from. Having a physical space of my own was essential. Eventually, I realized I had to make a decision: Where am I going to build my life and my Light practice?
Traveling had been incredible, teaching me about countless cultures and magicks, but it was time to start putting down roots. In South Africa, I had been used to a very high standard of living, but it required much more effort to recreate that in London. Still, the life I lived here proved to be far more rewarding, and abundant in ways that went beyond the material. I also realized it wasn’t fair to my clients if I was constantly hopping around the world, unable to be truly present for them on their path of Know Thyself and initiation.
When studying Kabbalah, I remember putting in my Tree a picture of a home in Kensington, near MMS HQ and other Ritual Masters. I asked: London, if you help me live in community, somewhere safe and with a garden, I will stay with you. By the end of Kabbalah, this prayer became reality. I found a home just 15 minutes from HQ, surrounded by other Ritual Masters and blessed with a beautiful garden. For the first time, I began to feel the sense of home I never knew I needed.
Over the past year, I’ve been settling into this new space, building, weaving, and connecting more deeply with the motherly, nesting part of myself. A few weeks ago, we received our new HQ. A huge thank you to Ipsissima Kate and her husband Robin for their incredible effort in securing such a beautiful place. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of London, hidden in plain sight, it feels like our very own Hogwarts. Just a stone’s throw from my home and gym, it has become a place where I can serve, connect, and grow.
Now, as I sit with a cup of tea at the Centre, with upcoming Life Activation clients and meetings with fellow Initiates scheduled, and programs just around the corner, I feel at home more than ever before.
I am 11,000 km away from the place I was born, far from my parents, and an ocean away from where my ancestors originated—yet I feel centered. I feel found. Something inside me has finally landed.
This space is magical. In just the few weeks we have been here, we’ve already held ceremonies, initiation classes, and shared cake and tea—you name it. The Centre is exactly that: a center. A space. A middle pillar. A container of Light. There is so much divinity in this space, this is a spiritual light center and community center. There is so much magick in that alone.
The love that has been poured into each and every detail of this space is extraordinary… I truly am so grateful.
And in this realization, I see that home is not only a physical place, but also the sacred container we choose to build around us. It is in the connections, the rituals, the shared laughter, and the quiet moments of service. It is in the decision to root, to ground, and to create a life of Light no matter where in the world we are.
Here, in this Centre, with my community by my side, I can finally say: I am home.
