Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom: Live Feedback

parenting

Dear Community,

We are compiling this newsletter for you with a full heart and soul after 12 magickal days at London’s latest International Program.

Two BIG initiations took place this week: Healer’s Academy and Ritual Master Apprentice (RM 2)! You’ll hear all about those next week, but this week we wanted to share a class that is relevant and important to all of us: parenting.

Not because we are all parents, but because we are all children of parents, and can learn massively about ourselves through Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon’s latest class in the hermetic series, Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom.

This was without doubt a groundbreaking class to create new clarity, free of old patterning and with a positive outlook on relationships!

Tune in below to hear all about it from our students.

Sending you a boost of light,

Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom: a class much-anticipated by parents that most of us without children looked at like, hmm, do I really need to take that?

The answer to that, in short, is YES.

Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom was full of deep, insightful teachings about parenting types, where parents miss the mark, the effect it has on children, and how to honour the Golden Child within all of us.

Don’t just take it from us, though. Read below and hear from one parent and three children of parents who share their experience of Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom.

What called you to attend the parenting class?

I was so excited to attend this class because I’ve taken the other hermetic classes with Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon and I know the depth of teaching that he goes into, so I knew there was going to be some amazing keys shared in this class.

What have you learned about yourself from this class?

It’s always such an interesting experience to take these classes because there’s so much energy when [Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon] is teaching. There’s this experience you’re having within your mind, within your emotions, within your soul, as well as the energy that’s present. So I had no idea how much was tied into this issue for me, how much healing is available, how many different realisations about myself were connected to misunderstandings about my own childhood and what parenting in its highest good actually looks like.

What’s been your biggest takeaway from the class?

I don’t want to give anything specific away. With that being said, I think that there is a purity of this energy that’s so needed in the world today. And I think that taking this class will allow people to actually have healthy families. Whether for you as a child or as a parent, this will teach you how to have a healthy, light-filled, healthy family.

~ Dr. Sean Carey, Guide & Third Step Ritual Master, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

What called you to attend the parenting class?

I was training in Japan, in the process of training out there, and I realised that there was something in my history that was way, way back in the depths of my subconscious.  I realised I knew it was there, but I didn’t know what it was, I just knew I needed to heal it. And I knew in my heart that it was tethered to something about my parents, something that I hadn’t looked at for all the years that I’ve been in the school, and I’ve been in the school for almost a decade. So having that realisation, I thought, “I think this is going to be the time”. It was a last-minute call for me to come all the way to London to take the class. And I realised that my procrastinating to come to this class was probably my resistance to healing this aspect of myself, so I just decided to face it head-on and come.

What did you learn about yourself from the class?

I learned how much I actually blamed myself. I blamed myself for all the things that had happened between my caretakers, my parents, my relatives, and myself. I even blamed myself for things that happened to me as a child when I didn’t have the awareness to understand whether or not those things were wrong. So I blamed myself for really everything, and the echo of that showed up in every aspect of my life, many decades later, as an adult.

What’s your greatest takeaway from the class?

The greatest thing is being able to look at the past with the wisdom of an adult, with a more divine perspective. It allows us to look at the past and not define ourselves by the past, especially when really, really challenging things happened in childhood, we can take those notes and make decisions as an adult so they do not have to adversely affect the present. And so my greatest takeaway was really self-forgiveness: forgiving myself for having allowed the past to get in the way of my highest service, and releasging the guilt that was tethering my present and the ways that I serve in the future.

Also, healing the self, in the context of having been the child growing up in a really challenging household, is going to help in my relationships, not just with myself, but with other people, intimate relationships, relationships with colleagues at work, relationships with the people in the public, and most especially my relationship with people I want to guide, as a Guide in the Modern Mystery School. So these are really important, especially if my contract is to initiate others, I want to be in integrity, and help those who are in the darkness get out, in the same way that I had to help myself out of the darkness from all my past experiences. Everything that we learned in Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom is absolutely applicable in my guide work, and so that was really pivotal for me.

What called you to attend Parenting wtih Hermetic Wisdom?

I was fortunate to be able to do this class twice. I attended the February program, where the class was debuted, and three weeks later, I made it over here to London to take it the second time. I felt called to come to the class because, first, I’m a parent, and I’ve been asking Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave for some sort of parenting book or manual ever since I came into the school. So when I heard that this class was happening, I was like, I have to be there. And it turns out I have to be there twice! All the hermetic classes I’ve ever done with Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave have been so clarifying and have assisted me in my relationships, assisted me in understanding my femininity, understanding masculinity, it’s helped me to understand how to have more joy in my life. And taking the parenting class, I knew it was going to give me so much more clarity about what it means to be mom and dad, and it truly did. Since the beginning of doing personal growth work, it’s always been my commitment to not hand down the things that were handed down to me as a child. I didn’t want to pass down the stuff that I was given that wasn’t good. And that was a motivator from, like, 21, when I started doing personal growth work.  That has been kind of almost a 20-year journey now.

In this class, one of the things that I really took away from the first time was how much my parents actually did well. And I could really forgive the mistakes and understand the mistakes in a way that I could just let it go. There wasn’t any need to hold on to it anymore. And really appreciate them for what they were able to provide me and the care and the love and the support that was there. I could have a lot more gratitude for it with the clarity that came in through these classes. That’s why I wanted to take the class. I also wanted to take the class because I really feel part of my mission is to help parents and to help women in making that transition into becoming a mother because I personally had so much terror and fear about becoming a mom. And I had to work through so much stuff to be able to move forward with it. In doing that, I can see how beneficial it is to make that choice to become a mom and how rewarding it is on my own spiritual journey and my own physical life. You know, to bring children into the world, it’s one of the greatest gifts that we can bring. Even though it’s hard, even though it’s challenging, it’s worth it. And so I felt like I needed to be in this class because it had really important keys for part of my mission and what I’m here to do.

What did you learn about yourself?

There were many things, but one of the greatest things that I learned was how to value the roles and responsibilities of what mom does and what dad does. And how in the energy of sitting with a Sovereign Ipsissimus there’s so much clarity and the hermetic ray that comes through, so much clarity and acceptance that comes through around who one is, to know thyself. To know thyself, not only as a woman, but as a mother, was really pivotal for me because there’s been a lot of confusion and a lot of ways in which I’ve devalued the qualities of motherhood and leaned more towards the masculine role in my life and thought that was kind of priority. And, being married, I recognize how important it is for me to be able to stand on my pillar and have him stand on his pillar. And that I actually really enjoy being on the feminine pillar and I was kind of like shoo-shooing it away thinking it wasn’t that great, but it’s actually so pivotal and so important for me and as well as my children, as well as my husband, to be able to embody those aspects of myself. It actually came very naturally, but I was just kind of, not valuing it. And so I can value myself more and care for myself more and as a result care for my family more because I understand what my job is and what my husband’s job is. And it’s not with a lot of religious dogma on top of it. It’s really just, clear. It’s just like, when you hear it, you’re like, “yeah, it makes sense”, you know? It actually really makes sense. And I wonder, why has there been so much confusion for this long.

What called you to attend Parenting with Hermetic Wisdom?

I really wanted to find out where my wounding came from and understand myself as a child a bit more. I also wanted to learn how I can support my initiates as a Guide, as a form of parenting. All the hermetic classes that I have done with Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave [Lanyon] were amazing and I knew there was a piece in it for me. Even though I’m not a mother, I don’t have kids, I knew there were parts of me that need reparenting and need to be healed. So I wanted to find out how I can show up there for myself to heal those parts and nurture them so they can be held and released and upgraded to greater maturity.

What did you learn about yourself from the class?

That is okay to say no. That is actually necessary to set boundaries, tolerances and intolerances, and helps to create greater security and safety in relationships. I’ve learned that it’s my responsibility to take care of my emotions. And, oh my goodness, there’s so many things!  What was super, super amazing for me to understand actually was what happened with the style of parenting that I experienced as a child and actually understanding where some of my inner child parts, which need to be loved and held, are coming from. This gives me greater understanding and compassion for myself, but also greater gratitude and appreciation for my parents. The understanding from the class helped me to actually love them more and appreciate them more, to actually see like, ‘wow, maybe I was just focusing on the bad things’. I saw how many amazing things they did, and they’ve already produced a child who’s having a much better life than they did, so they’ve done a great job. Yes, they made some mistakes, but now I’m grown up and it’s my responsibility to reparent myself, to show up and transform parts I don’t like. So there’s also this excitement of like, “oh, yeah, I’m going to take greater responsibility for me so I can show up in all my relationships, because this class is not just about parenting.” I will be able to show up now in a better, higher level in all my relationships, including business, including my relationships with my initiates, my friends, my parents, my siblings, with my partner. Everything will be positively affected, because we all are kids or have been kids. And to have a deeper understanding of self will help me to have a deeper understanding for others and have a greater communication and connection. So I’m excited.

What’s your most important takeaway from the class?

I think maybe the most important thing for me today was that all the thoughts and all the emotions that I’m feeling are not necessarily true. And that gives me a greater responsibility to not get caught up into the drama, into the negativity and the fears that I might be feeling sometimes, I can simply drop them and move on and redirect. And I’m like “Okay, this is not true, there’s no point, no need to go there”. So that greater freedom of, “oh, maybe I’ve been giving time to something that doesn’t matter” and redirecting to that what I want to create and build instead. I think that’s the greatest takeaway.
