A New Beginning
For the first time ever, in the history of the ancient Mystery Schools, a Sovereign Ipsissimus taught to the public for 5 days. This program was built for people who had *never* experienced anything about the ancient Mystery Schools before. They hadn’t had a Life Activation or been to Empower Thyself. They were simply interested in what the “Know Thyself” thing was all about, and wanted to learn from Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon, a teacher usually reserved for deeper teachings of hermetics and the warrior path.
The question in all our minds is whether this might ‘change everything’. The Modern Mystery School has a big mission: world peace. Astrologers, prophets, philosophers and your-average-Joe’s alike have been sensing something coming… something new, for all of humanity. Could this signal part of the change? Perhaps The Keys to the Ancients is a part of humanity’s larger awakening process. Let’s hear from those who sat in on the class, and see what their takeaways were.

It felt to me like new rays are anchoring into the work we’re doing. They’re very pure rays of clarity; grounding the light in a different way that makes it practical for people to work with in day-to-day life. The result of this is that this work can be open to people who might not previously have understood its value — people interested in affecting reality, being part of reality, living a good life, and bettering themselves and humanity. That’s the essence of the changes I’ve observed. In myself, I felt a lot of shifting being in that class. It was as if the light was weaving in a new way, transforming me as well as how it’s anchoring in the lineage.

What struck your heart now, after studying again with the Modern Mystery School after a few years?
I haven’t studied with the Modern Mystery School for about five and a half years. I think with anything in life, sometimes you really have to take a step back. And in taking a step back, you apply the tools you were given, you analyze the way they work in your life. Maybe you forget a few, and that’s kind of what brought me back to do this class.
I’m so glad that I did, because it is different than the initial Empower Thyself class, but I’m also very different. So the information that I obtained from this class is mind-blowing.
I can actually see the things I didn’t pick up the first time around. I was like, wow, I really wasn’t listening then.
I think I’m more ready to apply the tools that I haven’t been applying in my life. I was definitely much more ready to listen and not judge and not consistently try to push things out of my mind, because we do that as humans in general.
I’m just really excited. I feel like I’ve grown quite a bit since my Empower Thyself initiation over 5 years ago, and I feel like I’ve grown quite a bit in the last five days as well.
I’m inspired. I’m ready to apply more and more. I’m so ready to manifest in a more clean and precise way—because I do manifest, but it’s messy sometimes. I’m ready to change that about myself for sure, and to respect myself and those around me a lot more as well.

Sitting in this class for sure took me back to the foundations. And as Sovereign Ipsisimus Dave was saying, the first part that needs to be filled with light and expand the light, is within ourselves. So I think the first thing I did in this class is to fill up the gaps that I have left from previous understanding. Because in this class I didn’t show up as myself six years ago, taking a part of myself. I didn’t show up as myself a year ago: I showed up with a different consciousness. So I was able to fill in with light the many gaps that I have had in my understanding. I think this is going to be the role of this path moving forward. This class was a great opportunity to check in first myself, see what is there for me to modify, where I need to bring more light in. Second, for Guides, it’s full of keys. It’s like a table full of keys. It’s up to you to pick those right now that can deepen your understanding. It was a great opportunity to be here. And I think it was a moment in time, not just here on Earth, but in the whole Universe.

What does it mean to you for a Sovereign Ipsissimus, usually reserved for advanced practitioners to teach to the public for 5 days?
Honestly, I think this really helps us Guides to a higher level, so we can see things in another way, but also the public has so much more knowledge in living life, so with this training I think people really can grow so much faster. This class has been an amazing teaching for me: to really see everything from a new level – it’s so good to teach not only to the heart, to the spirit, to everything, but also the mind in a way that you can see everything from a new level; I think now it’s so much easier for the students to grow faster in the school.

I really love the concept of mutual generosity and that even how the relationship to God should have mutual generosity because people are always asking for God for “whatever, whatever, whatever, give me, give me, give me”, but what are we giving God? And then what I love is that the key was that service is how we give back to God.

I don’t think any of us fully understand where or how or what this is, how this is all going to unfold. However, I will say that there’s certainly a shift and a change in the tide, and there was a unification that happened with the group. This felt like an anchoring of Shamballah on a whole other level, where, we had Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave and the whole leadership team weaving a tapestry for the public to receive the light in a completely new, never-been-done form before. There’s a blueprint that’s coming through that’s being tweaked and put together still, but it’s opening the door for us to be able to do the mass initiations for the Mystery School. And we will reach the 3% if we keep improving upon this structure.
