Astrology and Initiation with Aleks Ceho
In an amazing YouTube interview, Aleks Ceho shares her insights into the profound interplay between Astrology and the Path of Initiation, illuminating how these ancient wisdoms can guide you towards fulfilling your divine purpose.
Have you always been interested in Astrology but were never really able to trust what you read on the internet? Well, according to Al, this is because most things you find out there about Astrology are missing an essential key. Read along as Aleks shares how the Path of Initiation supports your journey of Astrology and brings you closer to your true, royal, and divine self that you were always meant to be.
In this amazing interview facilitated by Divina Kate, Aleks dives right into the juicy parts of the topic and familiarises you with the concept of Initiation and the true depths of Astrology.
Drawing from some of Aleks’ words: “In the spiritual realm, all the planets and all the zodiac signs are positive forces. But when you are born here and you come down to this imperfect world, you come in with the challenge of adapting a perfect nature to an imperfect world. And it doesn’t always work out the greatest, does it? When you go and read on the Internet, there are always these stereotypical faults and traits of each zodiac sign which arises from the very fact that you are living in an imperfect world. You have the challenge of trying to embody the higher vibration of the planets and the signs that you have brought in as part of your chart. When you’re not successful with that, that’s when you experience more of the negatives of your chart. What happens is that energy gets expressed through what we call the negative ego. For anybody who’s attended Empower Thyself, you will know that one of the things we talk about is that part of our purpose here is to eliminate the negative ego or to minimise its effects as much as possible. The negative ego utilises the negative manifestation of the qualities of your chart in a negative way. This is then when you experience anxiety, depression, apathy, anger, sorrow – anything negative you could think of. That is all a negative ego expression of something in your chart.”
“One of the things that is not known is that all of the ancient Astrologers were initiates. Of course, they couldn’t go out and say it. They were part of secret orders, and whatever information we have of them was very often kept in secret libraries.”
“Everything they wrote about, they were also communing with: the Astrology they wrote about was not just a personality typology, but rather it was about connection to the very Godly forces themselves. And in the Mystery School tradition, when we walk the Path of Initiation, literally what we are doing is walking a path that is meant to help return us to our Godliness [to these God forces]: to return us to the purity of Spirit, to that which is good, powerful, beautiful, and to all the abundant qualities that exist. Astrology and Initiation always went hand in hand. Now, many, many moons ago, who was it that had their Astrology chart read? It was the Kings, the Queens, the Royalty, the Priests and Priestesses, the learned people… the Initiates. It was Initiates who had their charts read! The beautiful thing is that in our modern day time, Initiation is available to many more people. Finally, we’re in a place where the process of Initiation that went hand in hand with having your chart read, so many moons ago, is also now available. Initiation is one of the things that has actually been missing for a long time. We finally have that available to the public because although Astrology became popular a long time ago, the Mystery Schools and Initiation were still for the most part underground.”
Doesn’t it make sense therefore that we’ve only had a glimpse of Astrology? In reality there are always hidden teachings out there for those who are seekers and ready to see a fuller picture rather than just pieces of it. Initiation is that path to the hidden knowledge and ultimately the path to coming to Know Thyself.
Aleks goes on to say “that the beautiful thing is that Initiation helps you to purify your relationship to these signs and to these forces. In the beginning, we are purely receptive to energies… But as mentioned earlier, Initiation is a path of reclaiming your crown, advancing you back towards your Godliness. Astrology, along with the path of Initiation, was actually meant to help you move from being the pure recipient, to becoming the dispositor of these Godly forces, the source of these forces again, and to be able to direct them in order to create, in order to have power and abundance and goodness in your life. We are not meant to just to be at the whim of the forces that are incoming, whether they be of heavenly cycles, the forces around you on Earth, or the people and circumstances that you find yourself in. Through Initiation, we undergo a process where we are less influenced by circumstances, both heavenly and earthly, and we become the ones who are the force, who make the circumstances!”
“The combination of walking the path of Initiation and also having knowledge of your own Astrological chart is really important because that gives you guidance and clarity about the strengths, the skills and the abilities that you have brought in with you. One of the teachers of Alexander the Great was Aristotle, and of course, Aristotle read his chart. Aristotle taught Alexander the Great according to his Astrology chart and helped him to embody his greatest strengths and also to mitigate some of his weaknesses. Those weaknesses, are just ways in which the negative ego can misuse his astrological energies. Alexander the Great’s training was all about redirecting his weaknesses back into his strengths. We know what Alexander the Great accomplished in the world – he really did embody the power of his chart, to a great, great degree. Did he completely and fully embody it? No. But man, did he ever get close!”
So with this understanding, wouldn’t it make sense for anyone who is passionate about Astrology to also get initiated?

“And here’s the thing: Hidden within the symbols of the planets are the symbols for the physical body, Soul body, and Spirit body. Astrology was always a path itself that was meant to help return you back to Spirit. This is the piece that many people don’t know about. This is why you have to consult the ancient Astrologers because they held the keys to those pieces of knowledge. In the Mystery School tradition we utilise the Path of Initiation because that’s exactly what it is: a path of returning back to Spirit, to the purity, the goodness, the strength of who you are and to truly embody that in the physical world. For anyone who’s listening who is an Astrology lover, if you find yourself limited in the expression of your Astrology chart, I’m honestly going to tell you that the Path of Initiation, especially in our lineage, which is a Hermetic tradition, helps connect you back to those forces. Because it’s not just mental knowledge of your chart that’s going to help you. If you’re going to be a source of these forces of goodness, these forces of strength, these forces of abundance, you need to work with and connect with them. In our Hermetic lineage we utilise activations and rituals so that you can build that connection and through that uplift yourself from the mundane. This is what Astrology was always meant to do. It was to take you from being a person in the mundane world and to help bring you into the Supernal realms and to express yourself as a higher being.”
