Here at the Modern Mystery School UK & EU we are raising money for two fabulous, local UK good causes in our 4th Annual Unity Run.
For the 4th year running we will support Random Acts of Kindness (Uttoxeter & surrounding areas), with a new pet-friendly addition, Leonard’s Lunchbox.
Our team, from all over the UK and EU, will be raising money for the many families and pets that these two amazing groups help throughout the year.
100% of your proceeds will go to the amazing ladies (that we know personally) that run this good causes, if you are sponsoring a runner we will match their ‘entry fee’, a.k.a. run donation straight to them! Just let them know you’ve donated so that we can organise on our end.
About Random Acts of Kindness:
Mission and Purpose: Random Acts of Kindness (RAOK) is a grassroots initiative dedicated to spreading love, kindness, and support to those facing hardship. Through donations and small, thoughtful actions, we aim to uplift individuals and families, creating a ripple effect of positivity.
What RAOK Does: Random Acts of Kindness focuses on providing:
- Essential Supplies: Food, clothing, and hygiene products for those in need.
- Acts of Kindness: Care packages, flowers, and treats to brighten someone’s day.
- Support for Vulnerable Groups: Helping homeless, low-income families, and individuals in crisis.
Who RAOK Serves: They focus on:
- Homeless individuals and rough sleepers seeking compassion and care.
- Low-income families struggling to meet basic needs.
- Elderly individuals experiencing loneliness or lack of support.
- Individuals affected by illness, financial hardship & mental health struggles.
- Serving those in need directly in Uttoxeter and the surrounding areas.
About Leonard’s Lunchbox:
Mission and Purpose: To provide support, without judgement to anyone who may require assistance in feeding their pets. To bring a community together through volunteers, donors and all who may require help at any given time. To provide a safe and warm weekly space for people in the neighbourhood to have a cuppa and a biscuit to connect and engage with others, together with their companion animals.
What Leonard’s Lunchbox does:
- Provide pet food to those who are struggling to feed their pets
- To work alongside local human food banks so that we can ensure that everyone’s needs are looked after.
- To provide general pet advice and signposting to the relevant rescue/fostering organisations and relevant charities
- To provide a weekly warm space for vulnerable members of the community to have a cuppa and chat together with their animals.
Who Leonard’s Lunchbox serves:
- Those in the community who are struggling to feed or care for their companion animals due to a change in circumstances.
- Elderly members of the community who may be struggling with loneliness and providing connection through meeting other pet owners.
- Any vulnerable members of the community whose only source of social interaction is through their pets
About Leonard’s Lunchbox Backstory, from founder Grace Hui:
Leonard’s Lunchbox is named after Leonard, my rescue Akita who came into my life in 2015 and quietly taught me what love really looks like. We opened our doors on 24 November 2022, funded by myself with help from family, friends, supporters, and occasional food donations from the RSPCA East London and Havering Branch, where I am a trustee. Leonard passed away in January 2023, but his legacy lives on in this work. As the cost of living crisis escalates, more people are being forced into the heartbreaking position of choosing between feeding themselves, their children, or their pets, who are family, lifelines, and often someone’s only companion. Leonard’s journey from a frightened rescue dog to a joyful, cheeky soul showed me what becomes possible when care and dignity are offered without judgment. Leonard’s Lunchbox exists to offer that same compassion to people and their pets, bringing community together when it is needed most.
Modern Mystery School UK EU is proud to support Random Acts of Kindness and Leonard’s Lunchbox by:
– Raising funds through our annual Fun Run and community events to bring Light and positivity to RAOK’s reach
– Inspiring others to give back
How You Can Help:
– Donate: Support our efforts with funds or essential items by donating here
– Share: Spread our initiative through social media and to loved ones this holiday season to increase donations during a time of high need
– Get Fit: Are you a Life Activation Practitioner? Join our Fun Run and spread the Light with us this year! 4 April 2026 we will log 5 miles / 8km for Random Acts of Kindness & Leonard’s Lunchbox.
Spreading the light… one step at a time!
Disclaimer: Please note that the good causes we are raising money for are not registered charities. They are ladies that we know personally and have worked with for many years. 100% of funds go directly to people and pets in need.
